A Fall Western Art Show and Auction
Presented by, The Hot Springs County Museum and Cultural Center
The museum is pleased to host this Western Art Exhibit and Auction and encourage Wyoming and regional artists to consider participating in what we hope will be the first of a long line of significant displays and sales. Ribbons will be awarded for excellence.
There is no entry fee. The paintings and other art forms will be displayed at the museum (700 Broadway) on Friday, Saturday and for about four hours on Sunday—from 1-5 pm.
At Five O’clock on Sunday, artists and interested spectators and potential bidders are invited to mingle at a cheese and wine reception at the museum.
Then, at 7 p.m. Auctioneer Gary Nash will auction those works that have been consigned to the museum for that express purpose. If your work is NOT for sale, please let us know upon arrival and we will not put it up for bid.
The money realized from the sale will be split as follows: 75 percent to the artist, 15 percent to the museum and 10 percent equally to the Wyoming Chapter of Keeping the West Western and the Thermopolis/ Hot Springs County Chamber of Commerce to help defray the costs of the weekend.
Jurors for the exhibit are working artists Linda Raynolds and Elijah Cobb of Cody.
